Saxophonist, composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist Irwin Hall’s latest release, “Pearls of Wisdom” is a swinging tribute to his elders and mentors, honoring the memory of Newark Organ Jazz scene through which he was raised. “Pearls of Wisdom” pairs a smoky Hammond B3 Organ with a traditional swing rhythm section, laying down a strong groove and showcasing Irwin’s masterful, melodic approach. The follow-up to 2019’s breathtaking ballad “Regal” and 2018’s cinematic movement “Smile, For Your Lover Comes”, we once again find the saxophonist demonstrating a maturity and passion far beyond his years.
